Slavica Stricevic

I was fourteen years old when I decided to become a lawyer!! I have proof - an entry in my diary dated mid 1984 says: “ 1) Be captain of the handball team, 2) win all games this season, 3) become a lawyer”. I would say 2 out of 3 is a respectable achievement; we lost one game that season!

After college I took a year off and joined a firm of solicitors in Chiswick as a Litigation Clerk. This effectively involved spending most of my time at court, being yelled at by barristers and judges! Having survived the ordeal, I decided the legal profession wasn’t all that bad.

I graduated from University of Westminster with a Law Degree and then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course. I joined a firm in Hertfordshire as a Trainee Solicitor in August 1999 and became fully qualified in August 2001. I had such a great time there I ended up staying for a further 5 years!

I joined Bolt Burdon as Head of the Family department in November 2006. My area of expertise includes advising clients on division of family assets on the breakdown of a relationship (married, unmarried and same sex couples). I also advise on private children matters (residence, contact etc). I am a member of Resolution.

To keep fit I play squash and swim. I also enjoying hiking and mountain biking. I’ve done a fair amount of travelling in Europe, Asia and Africa and am planning to hop on the Trans-Siberian Express in the not too distant future. Spending time with family and friends always makes me happy.
