Hi my name is Gemma Hadlow
I am a member of the Contentious Property Team and I have specialised in this area for the last four years.
My experience in this area began straight after completing my studies in 2005 whereupon I secured a position at a niche landlord and tenant firm in Hampshire, PainSmith. It was here that I undertook my training contract, from the outset gaining experience in managing my own caseload and acting for a wide range of clients such as private landlords, large multinational banks and leading lettings and managing agents. In particular, I handled many residential possession, dilapidations and disrepair claims, drafted template residential and commercial tenancy and management agreements for private landlords and lettings agents, I also advised on a helpline dealing with all types of landlord and tenant issues.
In May 2008, having qualified as a solicitor I decided to progress my career further by relocating to London and joining the team at Bolt Burdon. I continue to act for a wide range of clients including private owner occupiers and property investment companies dealing with all types of land and property disputes. More recently I have enjoyed gaining further experience in leasehold enfranchisement, service charge disputes and property professional negligence cases.
Outside of work my time usually surrounds fashion, music and eating out. In particular, as well as reading about fashion I love customising clothes. Live music is also a love of mine and I enjoy going to gigs and festivals.
