Hi my name is Matthew Miller
I trained at a large City firm and, having qualified in 1999, I worked in the Corporate Department as an assistant solicitor for just over four years. I moved to Bolt Burdon at the beginning of 2004 and became a Partner the following year.
I am head of the firm's Company/Commercial team. We advise a wide range of companies and individuals on all aspects of corporate law, partnership law, commercial agreements, intellectual property law, e-commerce and software, finance and security issues, private equity/venture capital investment, joint ventures and business acquisitions/disposals (including earn-outs and management buy-outs). All of this keeps us very busy indeed!
Outside work, I spend as much time as I can with my family and also play (or watch) as much sport as possible – basically, anything to stop me doing any DIY. I love Indian food and the odd pint or two of Guinness or real ale – to try and counteract the effects of this, I have run the London and New York Marathons and I will definitely be running a few more.
