Aarthy Sathanandasundaram

I am a Paralegal in the Residential Real Estate team, and joined Bolt Burdon in June 2021.

Prior to joining Bolt Burdon, I worked at a commercial real estate consultancy in the ‘Online Auctions’ and ‘Bids’ team. I have worked alongside solicitors, surveyors, agents and clients including Homes England, NHS Property Services and Ministry of Defence. I have also gained experience at various other law firms dealing with confiscation, family dispute and powers of attorney matters.

Working in real estate has allowed me to constantly challenge myself. Every client and every property is different, and I am learning something new every day. A property transaction can be quite complex and stressful but as a Paralegal, I am here to make this journey smoother and help our clients move into their dream home or sell their house or flat.

Outside of work I enjoy socialising with my family and friends, going on long road trips, reading, photography and horseback riding. A little fun fact; I can also play an Indian instrument called ‘Veena’, which I have been playing this since the age of 10. When I am not doing these things, I am globe-trotting; I have visited 25+ countries so far. My roots originate from Sri Lanka, I was born and raised in London and have lived in the North of Sweden for 6 months. In fact, moving away from my family and friends, to a country that I have never been to has been my biggest challenge to date, but also my most proudest achievement. As part of this opportunity, I met some incredible people, overcame many challenges and got to learn the local language, Swedish. I have always lived by the following saying: ‘It’s all about pushing your limits and venturing beyond your comfort zone’.
