I am a Senior Solicitor working in the Disputed Wills and Trusts team.

When somebody dies it is an incredibly difficult time for the friends and family, which can sometimes, unfortunately, only become harder when a dispute then arises as a result of the death.

The circumstances of every client’s case is unique, which is why I always take the time to understand each client’s wants and needs at the outset. This area of law can be a very emotional and sensitive area for those involved, however I pride myself in managing these situations well, removing as much stress from the client as possible, and providing frank and personal advice throughout the case.

I can also act for charities to defend claims where a sum of money has been left to the charity in a Will, and this is being disputed or contested by individuals.

I understand the importance of keeping the costs to a minimum and will always try to seek the best outcome for my clients as swiftly as possible.

Although disputes can often involve a variety of issues, my main areas of focus are:

  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975;
  • Proprietary Estoppel;
  • Invalid Will claims for lack of capacity or undue influence;
  • Fraud, including forged or fraudulent Wills;
  • Financial Abuse; and
  • Court of Protection.

When I am not working I like to keep active, and play for a netball team in a league in Islington once a week. I also love to visit new countries and go snorkeling whenever I get the chance as I am fascinated with underwater life!
