I am an Employment Law Consultant for the Employment team at Bolt Burdon.
I advise extensively on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law-related issues (including disciplinaries, grievance, poor performance, maternity and ill health issues) for business clients or for executives. I regularly draft and review written terms of employment, consultancy agreements, restrictive covenants and handbooks. I also deal with executive terminations together with the negotiations and strategy which often accompany them.
I have significant commercial and practical experience in handling the employment aspects of corporate transactions on reorganisations, TUPE transfers and redundancies, including insourcing or outsourcings, negotiating indemnities and warranties and working with the business and our commercial team through transition and implementation.
Together with my team, I have guided many employers and employees through the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal process with considerations and strategy for settlement. Recent complex cases have included whistle-blowing and discrimination.
I also am increasingly spending time advising our employer clients (and where appropriate work with our commercial litigation team) on how to protect their confidential information, client base and workforce through legal and practical measures.
I am also happy to write and conduct training, presenting either alone or perhaps co-presenting with you to achieve a specific objective, either theatre-style or round table.
What’s more, I understand the difficulties of competing business interests, and you will always receive legal advice which is commercial, prompt and practical. That is why, at Bolt Burdon, we work closely with you to ensure that your business is our business.
Away from my children, I enjoy skiing, music and wine in my free time (though not all at once!).
